Aircraft Espresso required high-quality, long-lasting badges to be prominently applied to the front of its coffee machines. The operational environment presented significant physical constraints, as the branding had to withstand constant use, frequent cleaning and high temperatures while maintaining its overall visual appearance.
Furthermore, the project was constrained by a very tight deadline. Because it was the first time Diametric had collaborated with the Italian brand, getting the specification perfectly right at the initial design stage was critical. The strict timeframe meant there was absolutely no opportunity to sample and test the badges before moving into full production.
Upon receiving the initial request, the Diametric team sent the client a product pack containing various physical samples. This allowed the manufacturer to confidently select the most cost-effective option suited to its precise requirements.
Working quickly to accommodate the rapid schedule, we created a product specification that perfectly matched the original design. The distinctive badge was manufactured using bright aluminium, featuring sharp black anodised detail. To ensure the badge remained securely affixed despite the challenging operating environment, a specialist high-bond, temperature-resistant adhesive was applied to the rear of the component.
Despite the complete absence of a prototyping and testing phase, Diametric successfully delivered the entire batch of badges exactly to specification and strictly on time. The finished aluminium nameplates are now securely affixed to Aircraft Espresso machines, which are utilised daily in domestic homes and by the professional catering industry around the world.
